Smoky Mountain Bed and Breakfast, Lodging Gatlinburg TN

Historic Smoky Mountain lodge/bedandbreakfast in Gatlinburg Tennessee
Imagine being transported back in time to a world where the smoky mountain air is clear, and life is simple....

In 1932, the Lodge at 204 Hill Street had its first guests. Gatlinburg was a sleepy, peaceful mountain village. Smoky Mountain Lodge

The guests woke in the morning rested and relaxed. They enjoyed the sound of the river rushing out of the smoky mountains and savored the smell of biscuits baking and fresh coffee brewing.

There was excitement in the air as guests prepared to explore the mountains above Gatlinburg.  Talk was about the mountains becoming the Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

These sights, sounds, and excitement have not changed in 70 years. They are still being experienced today!  The Lodge was known as Miss  McCauley's boarding house for many of its early years. Miss McCauley was a music teacher in Knoxville.  She hosted hundreds of guests and often had school children "camping" on her screened porch, enjoying all the excitement the smoky mountains had to offer.

The Lodge has since been used as a private residence, but was modernized and became the Laurel Springs Bed & Breakfast in 1995.

The B&B was first opened by Patricia and Tim Wagner and was taken over by Garth and Belinda Birdsey, the Inn is now owned and operated by Karen and Dan Berry.

Karen and Dan are originally from Southwest Michigan and moved to the Nashville, TN area in 2007.  Dan has a background in Transportation Management and Karen's background is in the Customer Service Management field.  Karen and Dan are now the new resident owners and innkeepers of the Laurel Springs Lodge Bed and Breakfast in Gatlinburg TN.
